mongodbatlas.ClusterOverloadSimulation starts and deletes an overload protection simulation for one MongoDB Atlas cluster.
IMPORTANT: An overload protection simulation intentionally applies load to the target cluster. Use it only in an environment where the resulting performance impact is acceptable. See Intelligent Workload Management for more information.
NOTE: Only one overload protection simulation can exist per cluster at a time. To change its configuration, remove the existing resource and apply, then add it with the new values and apply again.

ClusterOverloadSimulation Resource Properties
To learn more about resource properties and how to use them, see Inputs and Outputs in the Architecture and Concepts docs.
Inputs
In Python, inputs that are objects can be passed either as argument classes or as dictionary literals.
The ClusterOverloadSimulation resource accepts the following input properties:
- Cluster
Name string - Human-readable label that identifies the cluster on which to start the overload protection simulation.
- Duration
Seconds int - Duration of the overload protection simulation in seconds.
- Project
Id string - Unique 24-hexadecimal digit string that identifies your project, also known as
groupIdin the official documentation. - Delete
On boolCreate Timeout - Indicates whether to delete the resource being created if a timeout is reached when waiting for completion. When set to
trueand timeout occurs, it triggers the deletion and returns immediately without waiting for deletion to complete. When set tofalse, the timeout will not trigger resource deletion. If you suspect a transient error when the value istrue, wait before retrying to allow resource deletion to finish. Default istrue. - Timeouts

on_ boolcreate_ timeout - Indicates whether to delete the resource being created if a timeout is reached when waiting for completion. When set to
trueand timeout occurs, it triggers the deletion and returns immediately without waiting for deletion to complete. When set tofalse, the timeout will not trigger resource deletion. If you suspect a transient error when the value istrue, wait before retrying to allow resource deletion to finish. Default istrue. - duration_
seconds number - Duration of the overload protection simulation in seconds.
- expires_
at string - Date and time when the overload protection simulation expires. This parameter expresses its value in the ISO 8601 timestamp format in UTC.
- project_
id string - Unique 24-hexadecimal digit string that identifies your project, also known as
groupIdin the official documentation. - request_
date string - Date and time when the overload protection simulation was requested. This parameter expresses its value in the ISO 8601 timestamp format in UTC.
- simulation_
id string - Unique identifier of the overload protection simulation.
- state string
- Current state of the overload protection simulation.
- timeouts object
- cancel
Requested StringAt - Date and time when cancellation of the overload protection simulation was requested. This parameter is only present when a cancellation has been requested and expresses its value in the ISO 8601 timestamp format in UTC.

Supporting Types
ClusterOverloadSimulationTimeouts, ClusterOverloadSimulationTimeoutsArgs
- Create string
- A string that can be parsed as a duration consisting of numbers and unit suffixes, such as "30s" or "2h45m". Valid time units are "s" (seconds), "m" (minutes), "h" (hours).
- Delete string
- A string that can be parsed as a duration consisting of numbers and unit suffixes, such as "30s" or "2h45m". Valid time units are "s" (seconds), "m" (minutes), "h" (hours). Setting a timeout for a Delete operation is only applicable if changes are saved into state before the destroy operation occurs.

Import
Import a cluster overload simulation by using the project ID, cluster name, and simulation ID in the format PROJECT_ID/CLUSTER_NAME/SIMULATION_ID, for example:
$ pulumi import mongodbatlas:index/clusterOverloadSimulation:ClusterOverloadSimulation this 0123456789abcdef01234567/Cluster0/89abcdef0123456701234567
