1. Isolated AI Development Environments in Proxmox Containers

    Pulumi doesn’t have an out-of-the-box integration with Proxmox, a hypervisor for virtual environments and containers typically used with infrastructure managed by system administrators on private servers. Pulumi, however, does offer support for cloud providers (like AWS, Azure, GCP), managed Kubernetes services, Docker, and several other infrastructures.

    Although Proxmox is not directly supported, you might manage Proxmox resources through Pulumi using the Proxmox Terraform provider, a method that involves wrapping the Terraform provider as a Pulumi component, but this is an advanced use case and is more suitable for intermediate or experienced Pulumi users.

    Given that there is no direct Pulumi resource or provider for managing Proxmox containers and your stated goal of isolated AI development environments, I would recommend considering cloud alternatives. If you're open to this, cloud providers offer managed services which can serve as powerful, scalable, and isolated environments for AI development.

    Here, I'm going to demonstrate how to create an isolated AI development environment using Azure Machine Learning (Azure ML). We’ll provision an Azure ML Workspace, Compute Instances for developing models, and an associated storage account for persisting data.

    The code provided will do the following:

    • Create an Azure Resource Group, a logical container for Azure resources.
    • Deploy an Azure ML Workspace, an integrated, end-to-end data science and advanced analytics solution.
    • Provision an Azure Storage Account, needed for the Azure ML Workspace.
    • Spin up an Azure ML Compute Instance, which can be used as a development environment.

    Make sure you have an active Azure subscription, and the Pulumi CLI installed and configured before running this code.

    This Pulumi program will provision the necessary resources in Azure to set up an AI development environment. Once the deployment is complete, you can access the Azure ML Workspace portal using the exported URL, and then log into the Compute Instance within the Azure portal to start developing your AI applications.
